| Tropical Escape opened as an all-inclusive hotel in December 1998. It is built in the Spanish style: painted white with terra cotta tiles and wide arches. Just across the road is the beautiful white sand beach of " Paynes Bay, St James, the famed west coast of Barbados." The hotel is located on the West Coast in St James " parish, about 45 minutes from Grantley Adams Airport, 15" minutes from Bridgetown and 5 minutes from Holetown. The hotel's elegant entrance opens into a spacious reception " area. To the left is The Parrot Caf? and to the right," the air-conditioned Carnival Bar and game room. Straight " on through reception, up a few stairs and you come out" " by the pool, surrounded by a large sundeck with tropical" plants and the pool bar. The bedrooms are on the upper two floors of the hotel - please note that access is by stairs only. The hotel's 52 rooms are spacious and all have a balcony or patio.
